When it comes to (fashion) Runway – I know you’re probably with me on this one…. It’s super super fun and entertaining to watch – funky hair & make-up, ingeniously fun and creative outfits, but ummm – unless you’re on the red carpet or Lady Gaga, ya may wanna take a pass. Case in point……

Let’s Talk Realness, Shall We?
Ok – I love style, fashion and cute new things as much as the next gal – but honestly I’ve never felt the need to be totally up to the second, every single season – and buy a brand new wardrobe every 3-months. It just sounds exhausting and wasteful, IMO.
Instead, I like to invest in a handful of basic pieces that are timeless – then add a few new things each season to keep it fresh!

Handbags and shoes in natural materials like straw, jute and raffia are pretty much “IN” every Spring and Summer, so you can feel comfortable investing in a coordinating shoe-bag combo like some of the ones below, knowing you’ll be able to use them for years to come!

We love clothes that are easy to wear yet still look polished, and this one fits the bill! This chic little Bo-Ho number is a winner for warm-weather Date-Night in my book! It’s flirty, colorful and works just as well with a pair of flat sandals as it does with these woven wedges in a totally wearable neutral.

Denim shorts and an off-the-shoulder cotton top are one of my favorite Go-To looks for casual weekends. Light, airy and colorful! Resort-wear is essentially a polished way of dressing while on vacation, especially when staying at higher-end Resorts. You’ll often see these types of places note “Resort-wear” next to Dress Attire FAQ’s. It’s a nice way of saying, no cut-offs, t-shirts, baseball caps etc.
This particular outfit is a perfect example of Resort-Chic!
How cute is this printed, flouncy Keri Cover-Up that easily doubles as a sundress? Wear with strappy Chloe sandals like these for totally appropriate lunch attire, or dress it up a bit with a pair of summery Wedges for dinner on the patio.
Add shimmery bronzer, a spritz of Jo Malone Orange Blossom and your “Hollywood” Valentino shades. Done!
