Jackleen has been my personal Astrologer & Intuitive Coach for over 20-years. 23, to be exact. I know – long time. Jackleen is hands-down one of the kindest, most non-judgmental, compassionate and calming humans I know. I sat down with Jackleen last week (virtually, obvi) to ask her about some of the Most Asked Questions she gets from people interested in talking to her – and we’re sharing all of them below! But first a little background, yes?

How We Met & What She Did For Me
I met Jackleen a little over 20-years ago, when on a whim (In hindsight, I was actually being guided) – I walked into what used to be the legendary Phoenix Phyre Bookstore in Encinitas CA – and old surf town north of San Diego.
I loved Phoenix Phyre…. It was spiritual and mystical. Walking through the door you were swept into a completely different world. One filled with mysticism, the metaphysical and the unknown. It was always dimly lit, with an intoxicating smell of incense, essential oils & candles.
I Was Going Through a Break-Up, I Hated My Job… Ugh
At the time, I was going through one of those really sucky times in life. I had just broken up with my boyfriend of 4-years, (Read what she says about Astrology & Love!) I hated my job, I had to move out of my apartment – and I just felt…well….LOST.
So, like any Californian worth her salt – I went to get a “Reading!”
I was “randomly” assigned to Jackleen – and as I waited outside of the purple velvet curtain that went into the small area where she did Readings, I started to get nervous.
What if she told me something scary, or something that would be really upsetting? That was the last thing I needed. As I was about to spin around on my heels and make a break for the door, the purple curtain pulls back – and the kindest, most calming soul ever says “Shelli? Hi. I’m Jackleen”.
As I frantically vomited literally every question possible onto her, she calmly worked with a combination of Tarot Cards, referenced my Natal Chart (where the stars were on the day/time/year you were born) and used her highly honed intuitive powers to provide guidance, purpose and a spiritual perspective on “why” certain things were happening in my life.

I Always Left Feeling Calm and Grounded
I left feeling such an incredible sense of peace, serenity and hope. It was as though a 200-lb weight had been lifted from my shoulders and I could breathe again. Since then, I’ve consulted with Jackleen pretty regularly throughout life.

Here’s How It Works
- Jackleen conducts Readings via phone, Zoom or Skype.

Q1. Ok Jackleen, can you explain WHAT Astrology is & HOW it can help us in real life?
Jackleen sez….
“Sure! Q2. How is this different from Tarot Cards OR your Horoscope?
Jackleen sez….
“It’s way more in-depth. Think of it like the difference between reading the Cliff Notes vs. the entire detailed novel. An astrology session looks at the map of the planets in the precise location they occupied at the time of your birth.
This is the chart that makes up the essence of you: your personality, your tendencies, talents, and the particular challenges that you are likely to encounter.
So while your Sun Sign (Aries, Taurus, etc) is a great starting point in astrology, it’s only the beginning of the conversation. A good astrologer looks for how each planet in your chart is aspected by the planets passing overhead, and interprets these transits for you so that you may best work with, rather than against, these prevailing energies.
If you think of transits like weather, you will see how a knowledge of what’s going on overhead can be very helpful, and how being prepared for what is likely to happen can be invaluable.“
Tarot Cards are heavily based in Intuition, while Astrology is based in scientific measurements.
Tarot Cards are much different…
“A Tarot Reading relies heavily on intuition, and while I often do work with the Tarot, I can usually get all the information I need using astrology.
That’s not to say that Intuition doesn’t factor into an astrology reading – it does. It guides me where to look, or how, from numerous possible interpretations of an aspect, which one feels most right, but astrology is based in scientific measurements.
In fact, it is the oldest science, as the science known as astronomy was the child of the stargazers who were searching for meaning and destiny in the movement and interaction of celestial bodies.“
Q3. How do you know when you’re on the right path?
Jackleen sez….
“When you connect with the path that you are on and you feel intuitively that it is a fit for you. You feel alive and excited, even if there is some fear. And there should be some fear, as the right path will challenge you. In most cases, there are several purposeful paths, but the right one(s) will light you up the most.“
Q4. 2020 was HARD! What’s in store for 2021?
Jackleen sez….
“Yes, and the year you are referring to as 2020 is actually the year of the rat, which began on January 25, 2020 and ends on February 12, 2021 when the ox year begins.
The ox is more stable, practical and reliable. It will be a good year to rebuild and realize the next phase. The message of the rat year is that change is happening. Many things will not return to the normal that we have grown used to. Much of this is for good.
For example…
A lot of office work can be done at home, at least part-time. Maybe some of our travel isn’t as necessary as we thought. Isolation, job loss, loss of loves-ones, these are all real problems that we are facing now. But it helps to see that there are other forces at work, forces that we can work with.
Many people unconsciously are working against these energies, trying to make something happen rather than being receptive to something much better that could unfold from just allowing it to happen. “
