Ok, so here’s the deal…. I love, love fancy beauty products like my beloved ride-or-die Chanel foundation and brow pencil. That being said, I can tell you with a straight face – expensive does not always mean better. These 12 best-deal-picks below are so inexpensive – as in between $6 – $21 (!!), that if you’re on the fence between 2 colors, buy them both! I do that often, and inevitably the color that doesn’t work for me, works for my mom or sister. I’ve always shared all my favorite finds with them first – and now I share with you too! ;-).
All of these yummy beauty-steals can be found on Amazon for less than $21. Now THAT’s a deal! Try!
12 Best Home-Beauty Deals & Steals
Comes in a generous-sized tube and gives sheer, lightweight coverage. Perfect for the gym when you want to look sporty and cute, or for bopping around on weekends. Doesn’t feel heavy or stifling – it’s nice!
Lightweight water-based hair volumizer that you can use before, during or after styling hair to give volume and staying power. Also great to use the next day as a refresher!
Gorgeously illuminates your skin and can be worn without make-up, for a luminous no-makeup glow or under makeup as a primer & hint of glow!
If you love MAC – you’ll love NYX for a fraction of the cost….can you say $6?? Creamy, with a matte finish – the packaging / tube has a less pricey feel than MAC, but if quality-of-product is more important than packaging, this is a YES.
Love! These are buildable, warm/bronzy highlighters that give your face that little bump of luminosity. The palette looks eyeshadow sized in the image, but it’s actually about 5″x5″ – allowing plenty of room for a blush-brush to swoop up product! Brush across tops of cheekbones, bridge & tip of nose for a glowy, warmth. Super versatile, I also use them for a wash-of-color eyeshadow. A fancier brand would price something like this in the $50+ range. This one is under $10!?
If you love Too-Faced “Better than Sex” mascara, you’ll love Falsies Lash Lift – at a fraction of the cost (under $9). I’ve used a number of expensive, department store brands and candidly – it’s such a waste of money. I’ve always found the less pricey brands of mascara to be better – and this is one of them!
Washing hair is one of my absolute least favorite things to do, because it’s such a production when you factor in drying and styling. I know, I’m impatient. Plus, washing too often can be drying for hair – so there’s that. I normally love & use the Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo, but at $48 it’s pricey.
For a more budget-friendly option, you’ll love this Coco-Colada by Garnier! It smells like, well…..coconut & pineapple!!! But not in an overwhelming, I’m literally-going-to-barf kinda way. More like a light whiff of vacay – and WHO among us couldn’t use THAT right now??
IMO, it works just as well as the Oribe, absorbing oil and giving hair a freshening bump! It says “Invisible Dry Shampoo” – but I didn’t find that to be the case. It does leave a slight white residue (but so does the Oribe). So, it would be best on blondes, as I think brunettes may find the residue to be too obvious. Just a heads-up.
A dry-conditioning treatment that works to control frizziness, condition hair without being greasy & add a lil’ extra shine. Spray it on dry hair from midway down and style as usual. Can also be used to freshen hair.
I. Am. LOVING this sheer, lightweight gel cheek color that gives just a flush of color! It’s buildable color – meaning, it goes on light and sheer but you can easily add more to get the desired depth of color you want. I LOVE this for summer especially, when you want that sheer, light flush without being overdone. For under $6, you can get a few without guilt. Must try!
Yeah I know – I still love my Chanel, but if you don’t have a ride-or-die favorite brow pencil, try this Colorstay by Revlon. It has a brush on one end (just like Chanel) to brush and blend the product for a more natural look. What I really like about this, over the Chanel – is that it’s gives you 2 complimentary tones. One for depth of color, and another for light highlights to add a little more dimension.
I get this question a lot… “What exactly is BB Cream?” Good question. BB cream is a marketing term that stands for “Beauty Balm.” A BB cream is usually meant to serve as a foundation, moisturizer and sunscreen all-in-one.
This water-based CoverGirl Clean Matte does not have sunscreen. That aside, it’s a really nice lightweight, moisturizing foundation that doesn’t feel heavy or cakey. Water-based with a matte-finish, use a Beauty Blender to apply, for best results!
Personally, I prefer and love sheer lip-colors over heavy, matte colors but that’s just a personal preference. Maybe it’s because I live in So Cal, and we tend to be a little more laid-back & keep make-up on the lighter side.
That aside, I’m a huge fan of these sheer Almay Lip Oil’s. The color is very sheer – heads up, so if you’re looking for a big color pay-off, you may prefer NYX Lip Color instead. For a light, sheer, sexy-summery, moisturizing lip color – these are really great! At and under $6, buy a few for yourself, your sister, mom or friends. Makes a nice little add-on in a Gift Bag for Mother’s Day 😉
