BODYSUITS – the NEW basic you gotta have!

Style |

I am officially in LOVE!

If you haven’t yet incorporated BODYSUITS into your wardrobe – you need and you will love!!  I gotta admit – when I really love something, it’s go big or go home….like, I’m all in.  That’s not always a good thing.

Like the time I ate an entire 12-pack of Old-Fashioned Glazed Donuts with a gallon of whole milk because it was my birthday…..and I freaking love those donuts.  That was before the Ab video.  ;-/ Obvi.

With clothes it’s a similar deal.  I have my favorite go-to’s like high-waisted flared jeans, fitted cashmere sweaters and now…..BODYSUITS!  Yes – bodysuits.  You know – like a one-piece swimsuit or ballet leotard except cool & updated, with snaps or hooks at the crotch.  So easy to wear and versatile – bodysuits now lead the pack in “Basic Wardrobe Essentials.”

Why you’ll love it

Easy to Wear: Bodysuits are an easy to wear piece that will seamlessly mesh with pretty much anything in your closet:  Skinny jeans, flares, trouser pants, pencil skirts – anything.  They’re as versatile as black leggings. Seriously. Plus – no more bunching or un-tucking! It stays perfectly sleek and comfortably “in place” the entire time.  So much more relaxing!

Super Versatile: Wear it alone with your favorite bottoms or as a base layering piece. Throw a jacket over it for a clean, chic look.  Layer under a deep v-neck sweater for a little extra coverage or peek of contrasting color.  For a night-out, pair a sexy black bodysuit with a plunging neckline, black high-waisted denim and strappy heels for a total “Wow!” look.  So easy! Be sure to get the right denim for your body-type.

Size Doesn’t Matter: Ahem. The bodysuit is so incredibly sleek, effortlessly chic and there are a plethora of styles for everyone.  Hugging your body like a glove – it’s instantly flattering on Every-Body with practically zero effort.  Score!

Sorry, I know – I’m an Enabler

I’m the girlfriend who says “That looks amazing on you and you MUST get it!” Then pull the bag, shoes and earrings to go with “your new outfit.” You’re welcome ;-). A few of my FAVE Bodysuit looks to get ‘cha started. So fun!!

Why it works

Doesn’t this amazing little Sapphire Blue Velvet number just scream sultry, sexy Night Out!?? First, velvet is luxurious. So there’s that. Second, every woman’s shoulders are sexy and this top highlights that along with the high neck that mimics the “In it to Win it” necklace – better known as the Choker.

Finally – Night Out doesn’t always mean Boob-age. I mean, sometimes it does, lol – but this option gives full boob coverage yet it’s still got the MEOOOWWW factor. Add a dark jean with exposed silver buttons, a heeled boot with silver toe and this super modern little feather evening bag – and you are ON!

Note…… the pants pictured with the bodysuit are really expensive, so instead I found the same vibe (right side) at a much better price ;-). Always lookin’ out for ya.

Why it works

This gorgeously sleek but simple Sepia colored bodysuit could easily transition into evening as well. Pair with black leather pants or dark wash high-waisted denim, strappy heels and a little clutch. Done!

BUT it works just as well for casual on-the-go weekends. Distressed denim, slouchy bag and soft boots with a doable heel give this a relaxed, “I didn’t try too hard” cool feel.

Why it works

The most versatile version of the bunch, this simple black bodysuit is the perfect layering piece for pretty much anything. NOT too low-cut so it’s totally work appropriate.

Paired with tailored, slim stretch pants – it forms a nice sleek backdrop for the longer jacket which makes this a nice option for the workspace. A statement shoe (how amazing!???) and sleek black Tote make this one a winner 😉

Bodysuits come in tons of comfy fabrics and styles.  Modal, stretch cotton, ribbed knit, velvet, lace, faux leather and even stretchy patent leather – which I have and love!  That being said, if you’re new to the bodysuit scene – I’d recommend starting with a couple of basics that you can wear alone or as a layering piece.  If you love – get a couple sexy fun pieces too 😉

I couldn’t fit everything in!!

I couldn’t even come CLOSE to fitting in ALL of the yummy bodysuit styles that I wanted to show you, above! Check out other equally favorite….favorites. Lots of different styles and options.

Enjoy, ladies!
