Legit Healthy, No Added Sugar, Gluten-Free

I say “Legit Healthy” because let’s be real. A lot of products are positioned to sound healthy when honestly, they just aren’t. Have you ever had a KIND Bar? They’re positioned as “healthy” – but if you read the ingredient label (which is the first thing you should always do)…. you’ll see added sugar and honey (another sugar form) in one bar. That’s a double whammy of added-sugar.

So, while it may be a better option if you are starving, and in a total pinch – it’s not that healthy. Not to pick on the KIND Bar – it’s just an example 😉

Aside from the almond extract & pinch of salt, every other ingredient in these 7-Ingredient Chocolate Breakfast Cookies, holds nutritional value!

Side Note: By popular request – my Pink Kitchen accessories

A lot of you have asked about the “Cute Pink” kitchen accessories I use in my recipe videos, lol. I love them too – especially the pink KitchenAid mixer. It makes me smile every time I use it. Awwww!!!

I’m slightly OCD…..Ok, very, OCD when it comes to making sure that my environment looks and feels harmonious, & coordinates with everything else. If you watch my recipe videos, you’ll notice that all the water bottles in the fridge face front, and they’re organized according to type of beverage.

Here are my favorite kitchen accessories! Oh, and everything comes in other colors too – in case you’re not into pink ;-). Also a good gift idea for the baker or chef in your life!

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 325-degrees. Spray a cookie sheet.
  • In a large bowl, add all of the ingredients except for the dried cherries – mixing together with an electric mixer until everything is incorporated. The dough will be thick.
  • Stir in the cherries.
  • Drop dough onto the cookie sheet – however large you like your cookies. Flatten the cookies with your hand – you’ll want to lightly wet your hand first, because the dough is sticky!
  • Bake 10-minutes. Remove from oven and let them cool on the cookie sheet for another 10-minutes. Move to a wire rack for a couple more minutes then enjoy!
