5-Ingredient Chocolate Chia Mousse! Healthy & Figure-friendly

Snacks & Sweets, Summer Favorites! |

Is it a Healthy Snack or a Dessert? It’s BOTH!

Chocolate Mousse is fattening and totally NOT figure-friendly, right? I mean we all know that. It’s traditionally made with melted chocolate, butter, eggs and heavy whipping cream. I mean, WHOA!

If you love chocolate mousse and chocolate pudding, but want to eat healthy, fit into your jeans and stay away from Added-Sugar…. I’ve got the answer: This Chocolate Chia-Seed Mousse!

Why You’ll Love It:

+ 5-ingredients

+ No Added-Sugar

+ Easily serves as a healthy snack or a dessert, elegant enough for guests!

+ Chia Seeds are one of the healthiest foods on the planet.

+ Cocoa Powder is rich in Polyphenols, which are naturally occurring Anti-oxidants found in fruits, vegetables, tea & chocolate.

+ Very Figure-friendly when you use Almond Milk or a low-cal nut milk!

5-Ingredients + 5-Minutes Prep. Serve in crystal Martini glasses, topped with Fresh Berries & Shredded Coconut for an elegant, yet healthy dessert.

Make it a Mousse or a Pudding

Here’s the deal – you can easily make it super low-cal or a bit more decadent just by virtue of the milk you use. Using Full-Fat Coconut Milk, produces a final product that is very much like a mousse. Thick, rich, creamy & decadent. This is because of the fat content in the coconut milk. This version is less figure friendly – although still very healthy, but would serve as more of a dessert when you’re in the mood, or when you have guests over.

To keep it a figure-friendly, healthy everyday chocolate snack – just use Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk OR any low-cal, unsweetened Nut Milk you like. This will produce more of a pudding-like result, that is still super satisfying and delicious, just not as rich as the coconut milk. It’s up to you!

I made this with Full-Fat Coconut Milk & added Fresh Berries & a little Shredded Coconut. Voila! Elegance in a jiff!

Enjoy “as is” or garnish with fresh berries, a sprinkle of unsweetened coconut and sprig of fresh mint. Enjoy it!!
