HI SHELLI!  IS THIS YOUR FULL TIME JOB?

Hi there!  Yes, this is my full-time job – although I have to admit that I love what I do so much, it doesn’t feel like a typical “job.”  I really LOVE (& always have) sharing and interacting with other women on everything from wellness, beauty tips, working out – eating healthy, so I guess you could say this is literally my dream job 😉

xoxo, Shelli

HI SHELLI  I LOVE READING ALL YOUR ARTICLES! DO YOU WRITE EVERYTHING YOURSELF OR DOES SOMEONE HELP YOU??

Hi there! I’m so happy that you’re enjoying the blog. Yes – I write everything myself, including all of my social media. I specifically steer clear of hiring “writers” to help with content. I mean, to me – the entire point is to speak honestly, directly and authentically with the APC community. That will never change.  Plus, I’m kinda bossy, so there’s that.  ;-).

HI SHELLI – DO YOU HAVE ANY GOOD CONCEALER RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ME?  I’M HAVING AN ACNE BREAKOUT EMERGENCY AND NEED HELP!!  LOL 😉

Oh no – lol!  Yes – I use Cle de Peau Concealer, with SPF 25.  It is unparalleled and multi-use for spot corrections: Breakouts, redness or discolorations & as well as under the eyes for those days when dark circles appear out of nowhere!?  It is a little bit pricey but it practically lasts forever.  I’m still on the tube I bought 6 months ago!

With your index finger or a brush, lightly rub the concealer so that it warms a little, then lightly pat it onto the area you want to cover.  Lightly pat with powder.  If it’s really red – I’ll repeat the steps, applying a little more over the powder – then powdering again, so that it’s layered.

Hope this helps! 😉

HI SHELLI – WHAT IS YOUR EVERYDAY BEAUTY ROUTINE LIKE?  DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR PRODUCTS THAT YOU LIKE AND THAT CAN HELP STREAMLINE MY MORNING BEAUTY ROUTINE?

Hi there!  I can definitely help!  My morning & evening beauty routine is fairly simple but effective.  I always treat the neck, chest and hands with the SAME products as I do my face.  Those areas need love too ;-)!!  I’m an impatient multi-tasker, so – rather than twiddle my thumbs in between product applications, I’ll apply a serum – brush my teeth, apply the next (letting it soak in) brush the hair or get dressed etc, then apply the next one.  Not a big deal.

My Morning Routine consists of 5 products – IN ORDER:

  1. My FAVORITE Lifeline Polishing Gel Cleanser with tiny soft granules to gently sluff off oil & dead skin cells.  I love this so much – I buy them like 5 at a time to make sure I don’t run out.  Plus, I know that Oliver secretly uses it when I’m not looking, so there’s that.
  2. Lifeline Aqueous Gel Serum – which helps increase collagen regulation, minimize fine lines, help reduce inflammation & redness. Love this stuff. I’ve used it for over 10 years.
  3. SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic Serum which works too neutralize skin-damaging radicals.
  4. Lifeline Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream.  I know….can you tell that I love this line??  I’ve used Lifeline for over 10-years and it’s given me such great results, I stick with it!
  5. SkinCeuticals SPF 50 tinted sunscreen.

If my skin is feeling extra dry, I’ll apply Lifeline Daily Moisturizer before the sunscreen.   NOTE:  I also use the Lifeline Night Repair moisturizer – and if you’d like to try that also – it’s LESS EXPENSIVE to buy them together (that’s what I do).   See them here.

AT NIGHT:  I repeat steps 1-4 above, ending with the Lifeline Molecular Renewal Serum – which minimizes fine lines and generally lends to a nicer looking skin tone & texture.

Finally – the Lifeline Night Moisturizer.   Lifeline is actually based here in San Diego (Carlsbad), but I discovered it years ago at the Four Seasons spa in Maui.

Hope this is helpful!
