Shelli’s Ultimate Day + Eve SkinCare Routine

Beauty |

The foundation of pretty skin starts with a solid at-home beauty routine, with quality products that work for your skin.

A solid at-home beauty routine is key!

Ok ladies – ask and ye shall receive! Lots of private messages and in-person asks, regarding my general Daily Beauty Routine – so of course I want to SHARE! I do tend to favor the Lifeline SkinCare line of products, which represents about 60% of what I use, but I don’t restrict myself to it.

Rather, I prefer to use “best in class” from a few different lines for best results. I’m always on the lookout for amazing new product finds and am constantly picking the expert-brains of my “Glam Squad” for the latest and greatest products, services and skin-technologies. You know – our aestheticians, dermatologists, MedSpa nurses and brow experts who form our own little Glam Squad to help us look our best! I mean…. it takes a village, people!

I am not known for Sugar-Coating skills….

Don’t really have a Glam Squad to speak of? No worries – I love to share! I’ll dish on the latest and greatest products, services and skin technologies to hit the market. Heads-up, I’ll always try them at least a few times before sharing the results. If something is a waste of money, IMO – I’ll say so. Sugar-coating is not one of my skills. You’ll always get the real-deal from me.

Great skin takes effort and it starts by executing a solid at-home Daily Beauty Routine. It’s all about consistency.

My Morning Beauty Routine – IN ORDER:

+  Cleanser – Lifeline Polishing Gel

+  Aqueous Gel Serum by Lifeline

+ C E Ferulic Serum by SkinCeuticals

+  Eye Cream – SkinCeuticals Anti-aging Complex

+  Daily Moisturizer by Lifeline

+  SPF 50 tinted sunscreen by SkinCeuticals

Here’s why you’ll love them….

Lifeline Polishing Gel Cleanser

A gel cleanser with tiny soft granules to gently sluff off oil & dead skin cells.  I love this so much – I buy them like 5 at a time to make sure I don’t run out.  Plus, I know that Oliver secretly uses it when I’m not looking, so there’s that.

Lifeline Aqueous Gel Serum

A cool, smooth serum that helps increase collagen regulation, minimize fine lines, help reduce inflammation & redness. Love this stuff. I’ve used it for over 10 years.

SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic Serum

VITAMIN C and E provides protection by neutralizing damage to the skin, plus improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Helps prevent ozone damage to skin.

SkinCeuticals Anti-aging Eye Cream

Reduces dark circles with the help of optical diffusers, and overtime works to reduce puffiness. Very moisturizing and just makes the delicate eye area feel good!

SkinCeuticals SPF 50 tinted sunscreen

This is very light, non-greasy SPF 50 sunscreen with just a little tint, which I love. They call is a skin-enhancer but let’s call a spade a spade so we all understand what the product IS. It is very lightly tinted. SPF is an imperative. Nothing ages us faster than too much sun exposure.

Lifeline Daily Moisturizer

If my skin feels extra dry, I’ll use this moisturizer in addition to the sunscreen.   If it doesn’t feel dry, I omit the moisturizer and just use the sunscreen. NOTE:  I also use the Lifeline Night Repair moisturizer. If you’d like to try that also – it’s LESS EXPENSIVE to buy them together (that’s what I do).   See them here.

AT NIGHT:

At night, I repeat all morning steps up through the Eye Cream. After eye-cream, I apply the Lifeline Molecular Renewal Serum – which minimizes fine lines and generally lends to a nicer looking skin tone & texture. Love this one!

Finally, I massage the Lifeline Night Recovery Moisture Complex into face, neck, chest and hands as well. You can buy it separately – but if you also want the Daily Moisturizer – it’s much less expensive to buy them together, fyi ;-).

  1. Thanks for sharing Shelli! I definitely want to try some of these. Couple questions for you – how does the SkinCeuticals SPF 50 wear under makeup? I’m having a hard time right now finding an SPF that doesn’t “pill” up under my makeup and it’s driving me crazy!

Also, what is your go to foundation/powder if you have one?

    1. Hi Danielle – thanks for asking. I TOTALLY know what you mean with the “pilling”. I’ve tried a few samples of other brands that did pill, and I literally threw them away because it was so annoying. The SkinCeuticals definitely does NOT pill. It goes on silky smooth and gives skin tone a little natural enhancement (I call it “tinted” – it’s very sheer and seems to adapt to your own skin tone). I apply and let it soak in while I’m brushing my teeth, then move forward w/foundation & regular make-up.

POWDER – I use loose powder, in the “CHANEL Poudre Universelle Libre” brand/version. I’ve used it for 7-8 years, and love the lightness of it. There’s something about Chanel cosmetics that makes them just a few stars higher than most. It’s a little pricey but honestly it lasts a long time. I usually get about 4 months use. Not chalky or obvious – just light and pretty. I’m fair/medium skin-toned and use the color “20 CLAIR.” Hope that helps! 😉
