Faux Fur is a Gorgeous, Closet “Must Have!”

If you love the look and feel of fur but like me, have made a conscious choice to steer clear of the real thing – you are not alone! Faux fur in recent years has become all the rage. Even those who can easily afford the real thing are choosing to go faux. In fact, faux fur is one of the hottest trends right now, showing no signs of slowing down. Yay!!!

Due to the popularity and demand for good faux – you would be amazed at the quality level out there. No longer the cheap, synthetic-y looking faux’s that some people (cough….me….cough) used to get at Forever 21 back in college – everyone from top designers on down the line are offering gorgeous luxurious designs, in every color of the rainbow.

I personally have 5 or 6 faux’s in my closet. They’re kind of addicting ;-/ Wear over your shoulders with jeans & strappy stilettos or boots for a night-out or carry over your arm as an accent piece with something dressier. They’re super versatile, warm and cozy and incredibly stylish!

Fun Fashion Colors

Ok – this gorgeous, richly saturated purple-y jacket is hands down, the absolute favorite of all my picks. If they had my size, it would be on it’s way to me STAT. Sigh….. Regularly $795 – it is on SALE PEOPLE! If they have your size and you love it – don’t wait. It’ll be gone.

Also loving this cropped smoky slate-blue Rebecca Minkoff number, with the silk tie at the waist for a touch of whimsy and femininity. So darn chic.

Chic Patterns and Texture

If statement pieces and the unexpected are your bag – you’ll love a patterned faux! Not for the wallflower, these pieces will for sure turn heads when worn….in a good way, lol. The longer coats are going to work best on taller women due to the trifecta of length, larger pattern and furriness of the coat.

At 5″2 – I’d look like Chewbacca. If you’re petite too, opt for a shorter jacket or a hip length that ties at the waist to give definition. The cropped “Bold Patchwork” below works well on a petite (or tall) frame.

Perfect for your next ski-trip!

I love winter whites – they’re always, always, always classy and elegant. Plus it’s just a great neutral to have on hand. It’ll literally add class to anything you wear. I call it the Snow Bunny look 😉 Perfect to bring along on your next ski trip. Imagine hanging in a cozy lodge, Apres-Ski, hot drink in hand looking the epitome cozy-glam!

Faux-Fur Accents

If you’re not quite ready to dive into a full-fledged fur coat or jacket – try something with faux-fur accents instead. I mean, how cool is this quilted Moto Jacket with the faux collar and gold hardware? Chic, edgy and cool.

If you love to layer – take a look at the long cardigan with fur accents. It’s perfect for layering, plus it’ll pull together pretty much anything you wear. Try belting it with a skinny black belt as another styling option.
