Skinny Apple-Pie Spiced Cider with Brandy

This Martha Stewart recipe has all of the cozy spices you’d include in a homemade apple pie, plus Brandy! Top with a little Lite whipped cream, a dusting of cinnamon and you’ve got a comforting piece of apple pie in a mug. Well, almost 😉

Skinny Apple-Pie Spiced Cider with Brandy

Ingredients
  

  • quarts apple cider, low or no-sugar added (40-oz)
  • 3 tbsp firmly packed light-brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground allspice
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg, fresh grated
  • 7 whole cinnamon sticks, (6 sticks for garnish)
  • tsp kosher salt
  • ½ cup Brandy
  • Light Whipped Cream if you like!

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, whisk together cider, sugar, spices and salt. Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat.
  • Remove from heat and pour in brandy. Strain into a pitcher; discard used cinnamon stick. Pour into mugs. Top with a dollop of whipped cream, dust with a little cinnamon and garnish with a cinnamon stick. Happy Holidays!!
