Triple Berry Plant-Based Bloat-Blaster Smoothie

Like all of my Light, Healthy Summer Recipes – the Triple Berry Plant-Based Smoothie capitalizes on all the best of Summer! Specifically – a Trifecta of summer berries bursting with flavor! The combination of Raspberries, Blackberries and Strawberries bring an extra high-level of berry complexity to the flavor profile that just tastes….decadent!

Packed with protein, vitamins, minerals plus a smidge of good fat from Hemp Seeds, this smoothie is super delicious, sweet but not too sweet and will leave you feeling satisfied and energetized.  Oh – and notice that we snuck in a handful of spinach greens…one of the healthiest greens on the planet and total SkinFood!  

Bloat Blaster

Berries like blackberries, strawberries and raspberries are high in water content which can help to reduce that annoying bloat factor, plus they’re high in fiber.  Fiber can help food move through the body more quickly thus decreasing bloat.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • ¼ cup non-dairy yogurt (we like coconut milk yogurt)
  • ½ scoop non-dairy vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tbsp Hemp Seeds
  • 1 cup baby spinach leaves, lightly packed
  • ½ banana
  • ½ cup frozen strawberries
  • ½ cup frozen blackberries
  • ½ cup frozen raspberries

Instructions
 

  • Place ingredients into a VitaMix or high-powered blender in the order written. Placing liquids and lighter ingredients nearest to the blades will allow easier blending. Blend until smooth and creamy. Pour into a cold glass and enjoy!
