8 Things Badass Women Do Differently!

A Badass Woman is a state-of-mind. It’s a way of thinking & moving through the world on your own terms.

A Badass Woman is…..

A state-of-mind. It is a way of thinking, behaving and moving through the world with unapologetic self- confidence, uncompromising self-worth, assertiveness, compassion, independence, comfort in her own skin and grace under fire.

Every Woman Is a Badass…. We Were Born that Way Baby!

As women, we were all born with a badass inside of us. Chances are, it’s active in some areas of your life, dormant or at least more challenged, in others.

For example, a woman who is a force to be reckoned with in her professional life, systematically dates men who do not treat her well. A badass in her professional life – but not yet, in her love life. That is her challenge area. Everyone has her own set of challenge areas – it’s part of being human!

Strengthening our Challenge Area(s) is a Learned Process

Learning to strengthen those areas is a learned process. We learn through listening, watching and applying the experiences of others, our parent’s guidance, and most commonly—trial and error . . . life lessons that we have to learn on our own.

Life lessons are like the difference between being told not to touch the pot, it’ll burn, and actually touching the pot and feeling the searing pain for yourself. You’re much more likely to learn the lesson if you’ve felt the burn firsthand. Why do I always think of Bernie Sanders?

8 Things Badass Women do Differently:

#1 She is authentically self-confident

Her confidence is authentic, because she recognizes her own inherent value and what she brings to the table. She knows what works for her and what does not. Her confidence does not change, based on who likes her and who does not.

#2 She sets clear boundaries & sticks to ‘em

She knows what she’ll tolerate and what she won’t. You may get off with a warning the first time you cross a boundary (she is fair, after-all) but she’ll cut bait if you do it again.

#3 She doesn’t waste her time on negative people.

She won’t pretend that she likes you just for show, or to be part of a group. She will be coolly cordial if you run into her, but other than that she won’t have any contact with you. If you’ve done something to her personally, she’ll call you on it.

She learned this life lesson the hard way. She knows that some people and things are just not that worthy, and she lets them go.

#4 She isn’t a victim. She’s a fighter. She is resilient.

She knows that life throws curve balls and some are worse than others. She might allow herself a temporary pity party, but she’s a fighter and she is resilient. Life might knock her down, but she’ll put together a plan of action and like a Phoenix, get right back up, stronger and savvier than before.

#5 She doesn’t chase guys

She is comfortable in her own skin, knows her value and is confident in what she brings to the table. Any guy worth his salt has to have the confidence to approach her. If he’s too shy, he’s not the guy for her. She will steamroll over him without meaning to. Women who are a catch, (you!) don’t have to chase.

#6 She lives by the 10/90 Rule

She understands that life is 10% what happens to you, 90% how you react to it. A badass doesn’t blame others for her situation, wallow in self-pity or waste time feeling sorry for herself. She looks at the hand she’s dealt, then figures out a way to get to the cheese.

#7 She takes pride in, and care of herself

She knows that you can’t drive a car on an empty tank. She makes herself first priority, nourishing herself with healthy foods, exercising, limiting alcohol, steering clear of drugs or smoking, taking time out for herself, expressing gratitude, getting plenty of sleep and taking pride in herself inside and out.

#8 She pursues the life she wants to live, not the one others want her to live

She knows that she is the creator of her own life, her own destiny. She takes sole responsibility for her happiness, which is why she won’t cave into anyone else’s pressure to change course.

If she does inadvertently find herself on the wrong path, she has the courage to right the ship, make a plan and change course, whether she’s 25, 45 or 65+!! It’s only “too late” when you’re dead 😉
